Welcome to the Burdizzo Family

Horror is in our BLOOD

Here at Burdizzo Books we don't just think of our authors as authors, we look upon them as children, or brothers and sisters, perhaps the occasional doddery old aunt (I said 'aunt!' No swearing on here)
Matty-Bob and Em like to nurture and encourage and help to help you bring your monsters to life and, just like if you were our very own children, we want you to do well and eventually fuck off and flourish but come back for special occasions.
Here is a chance for everyone, for our readers are our most important family members, to get to know all about the totally fucktastix authors that appear in our books and there will be even photos you can save for your motherfucking wankbank! How awesome is that?!
(Yeah, about the swearing...)

Peter Germany

Peter Germany is a writer of Science Fiction and Horror from Gravesend in Kent, England.

He is influenced by writers like Dan Abnett, Scott Sigler, CL Raven and Joe Haldeman.

When not pretending to be normal at a day job, he is writing or dealing with a supreme being (a cat), an energetic puppy, and trying to wrangle a small flock of chickens. He also spends an unhealthy amount of time watching good and bad TV and movies.

He has had stories published the anthologies Sparks:An Electric Anthology, 12 Days of Christmas 2017, and Under The Weather.

You can find him at his blog: petergermany.com

Paul Hiscock

Paul is an author of crime, fantasy and science fiction tales. His short stories have appeared in several anthologies and include a seventeenth century whodunnit, a science fiction western and a number of Sherlock Holmes pastiches. Paul lives with his family in Kent (England) and spends his days engaged in the far more challenging task of taking care of his two children. He mainly does his writing in coffee shops with members of the local NaNoWriMo group or in the middle of the night when his family has gone to sleep. Consequently, his stories tend to be fuelled by large amounts of black coffee. His story, ‘Raindrops', appears in Under the Weather.

Paul B. Morris

Paul B. Morris is a writer who hails from Walsall in the West Midlands, although he was created somewhere up North.
His stories lean towards dark fiction, horror and the strange, drawing focus from the dark reality of life. Paul’s story, Hail Mary, was featured in The Reverend Burdizzo’s Hymn Book. His debut horror novella, The Technician, is currently available to buy.
After falling in love with the work of the great Shakespeare, Morris has also drawn inspiration from Lewis Carroll, Stephen King, Graham Masterton and most notably, Michael Marshall Smith, who is still his favourite author.
In the realms of normality, Paul B Morris is happily married to an Angel, has four children who constantly get the better of him and wishes that he had the time to care for a pet bat. He owns two red t-shirts that don’t suit him.

Dani Brown

Dani Brown is a writer, author and illustrator residing in Liverpool. She is most known as an author. Suitably labelled “The Queen of Filth”, Dani Brown’s style of dark and twisted writing and deeply disturbing stories has amassed a worrying sized cult following featuring horrifying tales such as “56 Seconds”, “Sparky the Spunky Robot” and the hugely popular “Ketamine Addicted Pandas”. New for 2020, “Becoming”. When she isn’t writing or drawing, she enjoys knitting, belly dancing and relearning skills that have been lost to the years. She enjoys posting failures as much as successes across her social media accounts.

Dani’s stories have appeared in 12 Days: Anthology, Sparks: An Electric Anthology, 12 Days of Christmas 2017 and The Reverend Burdizzo’s Hymn Book.

The original stories she penned for Hymn Book and Sparks were both rejected. The rejection letters can be read here and should be because they’re as hilarious as the stories, even if they contain less bodily fluids https://danibrownqueenoffilth.weebly.com/chester-and-lester.html Lester’s Electric Milking Machine can also be read there with author notes. The Original Bind Us Together was renamed Chester’s Cloudy Ice and can be found in Rejected for Content 6. Apart from spawning the Chester and Lester stories (which will one day be completed), the stories, rejection letters and Em Dehaney provided the final piece of inspiration behind Sparky the Spunky Robot. The original toy robot is tattooed on Dani’s arm. She will one day add Sandy, the robot powered by evil semen to the design.

If you can’t manage any of that, you can always google Dani Brown and hope to land on the one you’re looking for (there’s lots of us Dani Browns writing under some version of that name plus another author has a character named Dani Brown with a new book out this summer).

David Court

David Court was born and resides in Coventry, UK, with his patient wife Tara and three less patient cats. When not reading, blogging angrily on www.davidjcourt.co.uk, drinking real ale, being immune to explosions, writing software for a living, or practicing his poorly developed telekinetic skills, he can be found writing fiction. David has had several short stories printed in various anthologies, including FEAR’S ACCOMPLICE , THE VOICES WITHIN , WEIRD ALES and HYDROPHOBIA. A short film of his debut comic work in THE THEORY: TWISTED SCI-FI is currently in post-production by Hazfilm.

His works have appeared in several Burdizzo anthologies, namely Sparks: An Electric Anthology, 12 Days of Christmas 2017, Visions From The Void, Under The Weather, Welcome To A Town Called Hell, Burdizzo Bards Volume 1 and Burdizzo Mix Tape Volume One.

He has three collections of short stories – The Shadow Cast by the World, Forever and Ever, Armageddon and Scenes of Mild Peril.

David's wife once asked him if he'd write about how great she was. David replied that he would, because he specialized in short fiction. Despite that, they are still married.

Mark Cassell

Mark Cassell lives on the south-east coast of England with his wife and a number of animals, including Arnie the bearded dragon. Mark's jobs have included baker, lab technician, driving instructor, actor, and was once a spotlight operator for an Elvis impersonator. Best known for supernatural horror, he has seen almost 50 stories feature in magazines and anthologies by, among others, Burdizzo Books, Crystal Lake Publishing, and The Sinister Horror Company, where he proves his penchant for ignoring typical horror tropes and casting them into the void. He features in Burdizzo Books' SPARKS anthology.

His best-selling debut novel THE SHADOW FABRIC is closely followed by the short story collection STITCHES AND THREADS, both of which are a fraction of an expanding mythos of modern-day cosmic horror. The novella HELL CAT OF THE HOLT further explores the highly regarded Shadow Fabric mythos with ghosts and a black cat legend.

Collaborating with Future Chronicles Photography, Mark’s dystopian cyberpunk collection CHAOS HALO and his Lovecraftian steampunk horror novelette IN THE COMPANY OF FALSE GODS sees his prose in other genres.

Alys Daddi

Alys Daddi germinated in the soils on the banks of Lake Garda, Italy. She grew into a bright, young sapling running around the streets of Riva Del Garda in the Province of Trento and was raised beneath the hot Italian sun on a diet of art books, music, country walks and good wholesome food.

When she reached her early teens her parents moved to Suffolk, England.

Alys pursued her love for art and English throughout her education.

She graduated Suffolk University and now spends most of her days painting in her house by the River Stour whilst she conjures up stories in her head to entertain the little people in her life.

The little people in her life range from her own two children, Millicent and Firenzo and various nieces and nephews. She has three cats and a silly, old black dog, oh, and a much put upon husband who they couldn't cope without.

She does not do social media but wants people to know that they can contact her via Matthew Cash @Burdizzo_Books.

The Little Exorcist is her first novel and she has already began working on her second.
